Interesting that it mentions Stephen Burn's David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest: A Reader's Guide, which suggests that Wallace is moving literature to a third level of modernism, to a more human face. The more tightly argued ideas of the first part: the disparate pieces are connected by bold-faced transitional and contextualizing passages (as well as footnotes) that rival those in David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest for their extensiveness. That piece was actually my second draft. It's been about 7 months since I finished Infinite Jest and I have yet to come across a solid interpretation of the very last sentence of the book (p.
